IBOOT >> Impact of Biogenic emissions on
Organic aerosols and Oxidants in the Troposphere

The IBOOT project combines laboratory, theoretical and modeling investigations aiming to understand the chemistry and quantify the role of biogenic volatile organic compounds in the atmosphere. It is conducted by three scientific teams having complementary expertise in this research field. IBOOT has a duration of 4 years, starting in 2006, and is supported by The Belgian Federal Science Policy Office (Belspo) under the theme "Climate and Atmosphere" of the "Science for a Sustainable Development (SSD)" Research Programme. It is a continuation of previous activities conducted by IASB-BIRA and KULeuven within the frame of Belspo's SPSD I and II programme.
