Model reduction
The explicit mechanism was reduced into a parameterised mechanism of manageable size ( containing 10 condensable compounds) for use in a three-dimensional model of tropospheric chemistry in Ceulemans et al.(2012). In the majority of atmospherically relevant conditions, the parameterised model was found capable of reproducing the full BOREAM model organic aerosol mass satisfactorily.
